Before
Before
Launching in Germany with an English‑only site and no local references.
After
After
A German site, two local case studies and a pilot programme hospitals say yes to.
My role
My role
Fractional CMO, one day a week. Plan, team, leadership meeting.
Where they were
Okapi Health had strong traction in the Netherlands and wanted to launch in Germany. They had an English‑only website, no German references, and a sales team about to start cold outreach to hospitals.
What I did
Make it local first
We translated and rewrote the site with a German clinical advisor, then turned two Dutch customers into short case studies German hospitals would recognise.
Lower the risk of saying yes
Hospitals don’t buy software from strangers. We designed a twelve‑week pilot with a fixed price, a named clinical contact and a clear exit, so the first yes was easy.
Where it stands
Twelve pilots signed in the first quarter, nine live and three in contract. It’s an ongoing engagement while the first pilots convert.
“
We had a product German hospitals wanted and no way to tell them. Now we do.
